PROJECT
Colorado-born and raised. Stemming from his inspiring parents, whose mother, a classically trained dancer and father, a professional photographer, Dom began his creative roots in art + design with a camera. While studying fine art with photography, he began taking further courses in architecture + design. He always felt design in all its capacity was awe-inspiring. After learning the ins and outs of graphic design, incorporating graphics into his photography was futile. While in his undergraduate program he worked as a gallery assistant and graphic designer at Emmanuel Gallery.
In order to get his name out he self taught himself html and css to make his portfolio. By doing so he got a peak inside the realm of website design which he kept close.
He then went on to become a member of Pirate Contemporary Art one of Denvers premier co-op art galleries while working various jobs. While at Pirate he was the web designer, curated, and was a showing resident associate artist. Showing three fine art gallery exhibits of his own. He also, curated and co-curated (with Dateline owner and curator Jeromie Dorrance) on a few other showings.
He then enrolled in full-stack web development program through Galvanize graduating in cohort 11 (or G11, as we call it). Taking away all the knowledge from code school he found his footing in technology with user interface and user experience design.
Design Systems and Patterns, Rapid Prototyping, Wireframes, Diagraming, HCD, User Research, Web Apps, Responsive Design, Typography, Color Theory, Logo Design
HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Webflow, Adobe Suite, Framer, Principle, Sketch, Figma, Abstract, Invision, Zeplin, Confluence, Jira, Trello, Notion
Vegetable and House Plant Gardening, Fungiculture Noob, On-The-Fly Chef, Slow Smoking BBQ, Sneaker Freaker, Music Mixer
